London Craft Week : Paxton & Whitfield x Fluvii Design

As part of London Craft Week 2026, Cutting Cheese: Sculpture, Craft and Performance is a live event on Tuesday 12 May, featuring cheese tasting with wine, and a talk.

Daytime (free and open to all, no booking required, 12–1:30pm)

Stone carver Zoë Wilson creates a geometric sculpture from cheese in a live window demonstration at Britain’s oldest cheesemongers, exploring skill, material and creativity

Evening (ticketed, 7pm)

Cheese tasting with wine, and a talk on the parallels between sculptural practice and artisan cheesemaking with sculptor Ben Russell and Tom Richardson (Head of Retail, Paxton & Whitfield). Moderated by Dr Stephen Knott (Director, Crafts Study Centre)

Includes insights into Ben Russell’s cheese-inspired works and guided tasting commentary

Celebrating cheese as both a material and cultural artefact, this multidisciplinary project blends demonstration and performance in a playful exploration of craft, skill and creativity through an unexpected medium.

Throughout the festival, specially commissioned works will be exhibited at Paxton & Whitfield, including sculptures by Ben Russell and Roya Bahram, letter carvings by Charlotte Howarth, and a painting by Caroline Hall. All the works, including Zoë Wilson’s Audere, will be available for purchase via Fluvii Art Gallery.
