We are looking to recruit a London-based Account Manager to work in our thriving foodservice department. We are seeking a dynamic, goal-driven individual to drive business development, grow sales and retain key accounts.

The successful applicant will be highly organised and a great self-motivator as a proportion of their time will be spent off-site. They will be confident addressing large groups of people and have a natural inclination to host and lead customer training sessions. They should also be aware of the needs of chefs and understand how kitchens operate to best service the needs operate to best service the needs of our customers.

The successful applicant will receive full on the job training and will, in-time, be responsible for the day to day management of a small team of wholesale cheeesemongers.

A background in sales or cheese is advantageous, but most important is a passion for great food and great service.

This a part-time role for 3 days a week and will involve working alongside our current London account manager in a job share for 2 days a week. 1 day per week (potentially including weekend work) will be spent on our retail counters learning about our cheeses, day-to-day practices and serving the wider public.

Availability Monday and Tuesday is crucial to be considered for this position.

Job description

We're recruiting now for our busy Christmas season within a historic and innovative business based in our cheese maturing rooms in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic staff with great energy, a passion for food and attention to detail to work in our cheese maturing rooms.

The successful applicants will perform a varied number of cheesemonger duties, fulfilling our customer's orders and ensuring that our high quality standards are met at all times.

The role includes:

· Learn about cheese, tasting it daily to ensure that the highest standard of quality is met.

· Cut, wrap and label cheese’s ready for dispatch to our e-commerce, and wholesale customers.

· Assist in the maturation of cheeses within our state of the art cheese rooms.

· Ensure that all products are cared for in a manner consistent with our food safety and quality procedures.

· Regularly check cheese stock to ensure its quality is superb, act if any issues noted.

· Assist in carrying out accurate stock takes.

· Ensure all areas of the cheese rooms are always clean and tidy.

· Ensure all Food Safety procedures and Health & Safety policies are always carried out.

Previous work in a food environment is desirable, but an interest in cheese and a passion for food is essential.

Full on the job training will be provided.

Full & Part time positions available.

Weekend work will be required in December.
