The Paxton & Whitfield Cheese Advent Calendar Returns for 2026

For cheese lovers, December deserves something better than chocolate.

The Paxton & Whitfield Cheese Advent Calendar is back for 2026, bringing together 24 carefully selected artisan cheeses for a tasting journey through the run-up to Christmas.

Each day reveals a new cheese chosen by our cheesemongers, from much-loved festive favourites to new discoveries and exclusive cheeses selected especially for this year’s Advent Calendar.

And, because good cheese deserves to arrive at its best, the calendar is delivered fresh across three separate December drops.

A cheese Advent calendar made for proper tasting

This is not a calendar of tiny samples.

Each numbered box contains at least 75g of cheese, hand-cut and hand-wrapped by Paxton & Whitfield, with individual whole cheeses included where we think they offer the very best tasting experience.

That means each day gives you enough cheese to properly explore its flavour and texture, or enough to share if you are feeling generous.

Alongside every cheese you will also find tasting information introducing its character and maker, together with ideas for enjoying it at its best.

The full line-up remains under wraps until December. Discovering each cheese one day at a time is part of the experience.

Why three fresh deliveries?

Cheese is a living, changing food, and we want every piece to reach you in the condition our cheesemongers intended.

Rather than asking 24 cheeses to spend the whole of December waiting behind cardboard doors, your Advent Calendar arrives in three fresh deliveries of eight days each.

For 2026, the delivery dates are:

Drop 1: Friday 27 November
Drop 2: Friday 4 December
Drop 3: Friday 11 December

Your second and third parcels are arranged automatically, so once your Advent Calendar is ordered there is nothing further to organise.

It is a little more involved than a conventional Advent Calendar, but that is precisely the point. Fresh cheese deserves fresh delivery.

24 days of British and European artisan cheese

Across December, you can expect a varied collection of cheeses from artisan British and European cheesemakers.

There will be familiar festive styles, alongside cheeses you may not have encountered before. Some will be soft and yielding, some firm and savoury, others blue, washed or wonderfully unexpected.

What connects them is the selection behind them.
